THIS MONTH'S TOPIC:

Seeing is Believing!

In a recent issue of LAND RUSH we offered six logical steps that can lead to a land purchase. To refresh your memory, they were:

Step #1 - Become Informed!
Step #2 - Analyze Your Objectives
Step #3 - Make A Commitment To Yourself
Step #4 - Come To The Mountains
Step #5 - Make An Appointment In Advance
Step #6 - Bring Your Checkbook

Last month, I covered Step #3. In this issue, I’ll elaborate on the 4th - “Come To The Mountains!”

OK – so you’ve gone through the first three steps: 1) you’ve learned all you can and become informed, 2) you’ve analyzed your objectives and know what you want, and 3) you’ve made a firm commitment to yourself that you are, in fact, ready to make a purchase.

Now, it’s time to “come to the mountains” – to make a day trip to our part of the country and see for yourself what properties are available. You can do that in one of two ways.

Many of our properties have been designated “FREE LOOK” properties. These are land parcels with frontage on a state maintained road. We mark them clearly with bright orange flagging and signs so you can easily find them on your own. We also provide exact directions to each of them in our brochures and on our website. That means you can make a trip on your own, take a look at several and call us when the time is right for you.

The only down side to following this suggestion is that we know where the property boundaries are and you don’t. We know where there are trails to follow and you don’t. We know the easiest route to the streams or views, and you don’t. In other words you’re welcome to drive to the property on your own, however once you get there you’ll be missing the best part – getting a free tour of the property without feeling like you’re lost.

Our best suggestion, once you are ready to make a purchase is to call us for an appointment to see a variety of properties that meet your requirements. We drive late-model 4-wheel drive vehicles, and can also provide comfortable ATVs to navigate the more narrow trails. We make great tour guides, and can help make your trip worthwhile.

There’s no pressure to buy or high-powered sales pitch. Remember, we assume that you’ve already made the commitment to yourselves to make a purchase, so we know you’ll tell us when you see the right property.

There’s one more thing. Before you come, take time to download our buyer’s guide – “Carolina Dreaming” - from our website. It’s short, easy to read, and will provide you with the basic information needed to make your trip a roaring success. For your free copy, go to:
