MONTH'S TOPIC:
The Doctor Will
See You Now!
In a recent issue of LAND RUSH we offered six
logical steps that can lead to a land purchase. To refresh your
memory, they were:
Step #1 - Become Informed!
Step #2 - Analyze Your Objectives
Step #3 - Make A Commitment To Yourself
Step #4 - Come To The Mountains
Step #5 - Make An Appointment In Advance
Step #6 - Bring Your Checkbook
Last month, I covered Step #4. In this issue, I’ll
elaborate on the 5th - “Make An Appointment in Advance”
OK – so you’ve gone through the first
four steps: 1) you’ve learned all you can and become informed,
2) you’ve analyzed your objectives and know what you want,
3) you’ve made a firm commitment to yourself that you are,
in fact, ready to make a purchase, and 4) you’re ready to
make a trip to the mountains.
Now - it’s time to call for an appointment.
No, we’re not doctors or dentists , however we do work by
appointment only. Our reasoning? We want to devote as much time
as necessary to helping you find the right property. It could be
hours, days, or even weeks. We want the time spent with you to be
uninterrupted, so we can focus on YOU alone during our time together.
Many of our properties are in diverse locations,
some located as much as an hour’s drive from the others. That
means we must plan our time together so you are able to visit as
many properties as you wish without wasting your time. Again, that
takes planning – and you can be a big help.
Please give some thought before calling as to
what your objectives will be during your trip. Be prepared to discuss
preferred locations, a desired price range, and the amenities and
features you hope to find. Then, during your call, I can get a better
idea how to line up the right properties for your visit.
If we will be looking at more than one property,
it’s best to get an early start. Eight or nine in the morning
is best. Most summertime rains come in the afternoon, so an early
start will allow us to get a jump on any weather changes. It’s
also wise to bring rain gear – just in case.
While planning your visit, give serious thought
to appropriate dress for the occasion. Jeans and hiking boots are
best. Shorts, flip-flops, and penny loafers (sans socks) are greatly
discouraged at this time of year. Wildflowers and weeds can be knee-high,
even on established trails. Your comfort is important to the successful
outcome of your visit, so dress accordingly.
OK – so there you have it! It’s time
for you to give me a call. I’ll be waiting – and will
look forward to working with you!
Oh, there’s one more thing. Before you come,
take time to download our buyer’s guide – “Carolina
Dreaming” - from our website. It’s short, easy to read,
and will provide you with the basic information needed to make your
trip a roaring success. For your free copy, go to:
