Land Bargains Anyone?
Tuesday, May 25, 2010:
So . . . How’s that buying gold high and selling low workin’ for ya? It spiked in December, and again recently near $1,250 per ounce. Yet, with all its volatility in recent months, the best gain I’ve seen was about 5%.
On the other hand, we just took a look at large land parcels listed for sale in Watauga County as of 5/25/10. It seems that 57% of them have been reduced in price at least once. One property originally listed at $12,000,000 is now down to $4,000,000. Bargains anyone?
If you have survived the economic downturn, have liquidity you want to invest successfully, and grasp the concept that buying low and selling high is the correct approach to investing – buy land!
Just out of curiosity, please Email me either a “Yes” or a “No” to this question: “Has the volatility and uncertainty in our country kept you from investing in gold, real estate, or the stock market? Just tell me “Yes” of “No” here.
